Eseoghene, creative director of Hesey Designs started her own accessories business right out of university. She used Google Search and YouTube to learn how to create handbags, and via Search found contacts for blogs and magazines to feature her products. Her bags, which she now sells through her business website, have been featured in over 100 blogs.

She has been chosen as 1 of the 10  Africans who has qualified for the Google Africa Connected Competition. The African connected is an effort to help boost the social and economic impact being created by Africans who have embraced the web, Google is offering up five prizes of $25,000 each to the most inspiring stories established on the continent so It’s in your hands now!

Africa Connected is an initiative by Google and partners to promote the value of the web in the lives of the people of Africa.

After 6 months and thousands of submissions from across 35 countries in Africa she made it to the top 10 Africans that were selected by the judges to go through to the final public voting stage.

Asides from creating faboulous handbags, Eseoghene also conducts training classes for other women who want to learn her trade and build a similar business for themselves. Her dream is to build her business into an international brand that promotes African designs.
